Originally from the Rhondda Valleys in South Wales, Sarah Heneghan is a Sheffield-based drummer and composer with a love for the unusual and the curious. This is reflected in her heavily improvised drumming style, inspired by North European jazz, folk, minimalism and post-rock.

Aside from Power Out, her solo show of drums, electronics and lights, Sarah is currently releasing an EP, ‘Light Poles’ and plays with Charlotte Keeffe & Ben Gaunt in her trio.

She has also been in numerous collaborations, including Nishla Smith, Tim Knowles Quartet, Emergence Collective & wolf peaches. Sarah has received support from Arts Council England, London Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival & Lancaster Jazz Festival for developing her music & projects.
